Influence Mechanism of Cyanobacterial Extracellular Polymeric Substances on the Water Quality in Dynamic Water Supply System

As a kind of high-organic-content contamination source, extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) secreted by cyanobacteria have become an important factor restricting the safety supply water. In dynamic batch mode water system, cyanobacterial EPS accelerated decay rate residual chlorine, resulting in 21–26 times increase total viable bacteria count within 72 h. The turbidity exceeded upper limit standards for drinking quality 4 h, with 306–332% biological stability was reduced BDOC and AOC increased 41.4–43.8% 331–396%, respectively. main cause is that act as nutrients metabolic energy microorganisms, promoting their activity secretion organic components. This leads to accumulation tryptophan, fulvic acids humic pipeline, thus further regeneration bacteria. Compared influence biofilm on pipe wall caused long-term use network, contribution network several times. Therefore, even presence secondary system could not be neglected.
